Did you see our new coat closet??
Great big thank you to Thomas Somerfield,
Boy Scout Troop 44!!
Dear Oxford Area Senior Center,
My name is Thomas Somerfield, and I am a Boy Scout in Troop 44 in Oxford. I have just completed my Eagle Scout Project at your center. I began my scouting journey as a Tiger Scout in Pack 213 when I was seven. At the time my family lived in Coatesville, but we moved to Cochranville in 2017. Throughout my life, even after I graduated high school as a homeschooler several weeks ago, I have stuck with scouting.
I enjoyed working with your organization for my Eagle Scout Project. Eagle Scout is the final rank of Boy Scouts, and completing my project was my last requirement. My project included building a new coat rack, repainting several outdoor chairs, and doing minor landscaping work. The project was made possible with generous donations or discounts from Hearne Hardwoods, Oxford Feed and Lumber, and Lowe’s of Avondale. The project was completed with the help of my fellow scouts, my family, and a gracious girlfriend.
Thank you for making this opportunity available to me,
Sincerely, Thomas Somerfield

New Landscaping
Take a look at our new landscaping. It was recently completed by David Owens from Nottingham. A marvelous new look to the front of our Center.
This beautiful landscaping was made possible through a generous contribution from Dr. Jamey and Ellen Nocks.
A SPECIAL THANKS TO BOTH OF THEM FOR THEIR GENEROSITY!!
