Don't forget, we offer you a choice of two meals when you
sign up for lunch.
The "café" or cold meal will either be a
salad or sandwich with side items fulfilling the 1/3 RDA
guidelines for vitamin and nutrition content.

As always, these meals are provided by the Chester County
Department of Aging with a $1.50 requested donation.
Lunch
reservations need to be made a full TWO DAYS in
advance. We order lunches early each morning for two days ahead.
Monday for Wednesday
Tuesday for Thursday
Wednesday for Friday
Thursday for Monday
Friday for Tuesday
So if you call at noon on Monday, you might not get a lunch on Wednesday.
Your best bet is to call no later than 9 am two days in advance.
FREE SHINGLES VACCINE
The Chester County Health Department will be administering FREE Shingles Vaccines in June.
If you have signed up for this services you will be called and given the date and time when you will receive your vaccine.

Since the June newsletter is the final edition of our fiscal year, it seems only proper to thank all of you that so diligently share your time with us.
The
Center staff spends much time
planning and scheduling all of the various activities
that we provide to the senior community.
However, without the many hours that
the volunteers spend assisting us, these activities
would not be successful.
So, from all of us to all of our
wonderful volunteers,

"INDEPENDENCE
Day Picnic"
WEATHER PERMITTING, Our Independence
Day Picnic will be held in the Oxford Memorial
Park on Friday, July 2, 2010.
Fun and games start at 10 AM. We will have
coffee & refreshments, cards, shuffleboard
and scrabble. The Luken's
German Band will entertain us at 12:45PM.
If by chance we have inclement weather,
we will be at the CENTER.
Correct change for lunch
Due to confidentially requirements, we are not allowed to make change during lunch in the Lunchroom.
Correct change must be placed in your envelope. The Hostess can make change for you at her desk so please see her BEFORE lunch.
About your Senior Center
Senior Center membership is not required in order for individuals 60 and older to participate in the congregate meal program. All Chester County residents 60 and older are invited to attend their local Senior Center to enjoy a noon time meal. There is no cost to you for the meal, however a voluntary contribution is appreciated toward the cost of the meal, but is not required. Contact the Senior Center to reserve your meal two days in advance of meal service.
Senior Center membership is not required in order for individuals
60 and older to participate in the Body Recall Program with no
cost to you to participate in this exercise program. Contact the
Center to receive more information on this program and to reserve
your place in the class.
